Come check out our newest addition to the office - the nervous system regulation station! AKA - the Relaxation Station. This wonderful new addition allows you time and space to truly decompress. We've got a massage chair, red light therapy, a foot massager, salt lamp, guided meditations, and aromatherapy all to help your body and brain re-regulate after periods of extreme stress. This station is for use in 15 minute increments at a time, and is a donation based system. Depending on the value you feel you got from it, you can donate by scanning one of the QR codes in the station and donating for your time.

Sign up for use while waiting in the lobby on a loved one, after a counseling session for decompression before heading back to work, or just out of complete necessity on a lunch break.

Lindsay is a North Carolina native and recently settled down in the Wilmington area. Lindsay graduated from Appalachian State University with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology of Family Life and Intimate Relationships. After graduating college, she went on to work as an Early Intervention Specialist while going back for her master’s degree in counseling. Lindsay is in the final stages of finishing her master’s degree in the Clinical Mental Health and Counseling program at Liberty University. She is excited about getting one step closer to becoming licensed and helping individuals overcome their daily battles. Lindsay is passionate about helping individuals of all ages. She loves working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, body image, self-esteem, and OCD behaviors. She values the importance of health and wellness and believes that it is an important contributor towards mental healing. Lindsay also practices faith-based counseling and approaches. Lindsay is also a certified SYMBIS facilitator. Brittany moved to Wilmington, NC from Boston, MA in 2011. She received her Masters of Social Work from Simmons University and has been working as a clinician in various settings since graduating in 2006.

Brittany is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Therapist) who specializes in treating trauma, familial issues, parenting skills work, mood disorders, and anxiety/depression. Some of Brittany’s specialties include doing work with somatic/sensorimotor trauma processing, EMDR, and incorporating mindfulness practices into therapy. Brittany is committed to making sure no one is invisible and sees mental health treatment as a way of strengthening the broken places until people feel WHOLE again.

She also has many talents including dance through her studies of Ballet and Modern dance in Purchase, NY. Sometimes she likes to include body work into the therapy practice as well. Buffy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Natural Health Practitioner. She is trained in EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness based treatments, has 200hr Yoga Training, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, has studied under Bessel Van Der Kolk’s trauma trainings, anxiety reduction, and Gottman Method Couples & Relationship Counseling.

Kasi is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor who loves working with tweens, teens, parents, families, couples, and individuals. Kasi values coming alongside people to build a therapeutic relationship of trust, compassion, and understanding. She has extensive experience providing trauma responsive treatment working with survivors of trauma and disorders such as ADHD, ODD, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, as well as experience with antenatal and postpartum depression/anxiety/OCD. Kasi takes a strengths based non-judgmental approach and utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy as her main modality. Kasi holds a BA in Psychology from UNCW and an MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from NCSU in 2011 (Go Pack!). Kasi started her career as a children’s counselor at InterAct’s residential domestic violence shelter serving children and woman survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. She then spent 11 years serving youth on juvenile probation and their families as a Functional Family Therapist, Therapist Supervisor, Program Manager, and Executive Director for AMI Kids NC Family Services. Equipped with a rich educational background, including a Bachelors in Counseling, a Masters in Clinical Social Work, and HATHA yoga certification, Laura is ready to bring her wealth of experience and commitment to trauma-informed practices to this exceptional team.

Laura has lived in Wilmington for eight years but previously resided in Montana, where she was an intensive in-home therapist and spear-headed a mental health program at a local middle school. Laura has served clients of various ages and stages of life and has supported them with comprehensive care and a spectrum of modalities, including trauma-focused, strength-based, solution-focused, mindfulness-based, CBT, and DBT. Her experience with these varying approaches reflect her ability to tailor interventions to each person’s unique needs. Laura’s ultimate goal is to help others overcome their trauma and rediscover who they were before enduring it.

Her approach is to meet clients where they are in their journeys. Her empathetic nature shines as she creates a safe space for clients to uncover and address challenges head-on.
